On their web page they claim it is a compiler basic. The add says pre-loaded with Basic. Not sure what to think. Anyway, I generally have not enough IO pins on a 28pin MX170, so there may be not enough IO on this one also. PicomiteVGA PETSCII ROBOTS |

Per Coridium / : " The uChip has the BASIC firmware installed. Firmware includes library routines, like floating point operations, string operations, integer divide, printf and others. The freely downloaded compiler resides on a PC and outputs hex files that are ARM instructions or calls to those library routines. From time to time we have offered ports of the compiler to Linux systems, but most people use VM. Recently we ported the TclTerm utility to the Raspberry Pi which allows communication to a BASIC program on the uChip (our blog entry) https://www.coridium.us/coridium/blog/raspberrypi-interface While it would be possible to port all the tools to the RasPi, in our opinion it is a bit slow and has primitive text editors, and we would recommend using a PC to develop your BASIC program. -- Bruce Eisenhard Coridium Corp www.coridium.us " my site |
