I've been playing with a weather station idea for around 4 years now and have spent believe it or not many hundreds of UK pounds (can't use the symbol here) on boards and components and it's time for me to stop. I've got a Weatherflow weather station now and I've got what I think is a beautiful display that I've finally got the way I want it and like it So I'm giving away all my other boards and components if anyone wants them There are a mixture of boards, with components some without all new and unused. One set of components is the STM32L432KBU6 so if you even only wanted that component it's worth having Pictures of the boards are here (Clickable links) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() one set of boards is for the Pi and includes a Quiic connector so can take many of the boards with this connector Another has connectors for the MH-Z19B air quality module One set is for a wall mounted display using miniature stepper motors as used in cars, I was going to use this to have a secondary display for my weather station but she who much me obeyed said no, after I got the design printed on 3mm plastic and had the boards made with some of the components already soldered The other set is for the latest version of the weather station I was going to finish It's got most of the components on them already including the STM32L432KBU6, it uses plug in i2c modules and is designed to be used with a solar charger and LIFPO4 batteries, the board says 2.4V but it can use the 3.2V LIFPO4 batteries as well as also being able to run from 5V if needed. Circuits for those 2 are included in the link to the pictures I'm not asking for any money, Obviously due to the cost I'd prefer to only post to someone in the UK, but if someone abraod really wants them let me know. I'm not going to say first to ask gets as that wouldn't be fair Anyone who wants this please leave a message below saying why you want it, DONT message me about this so everyone can see, and I'll pick someone Sunday night Thats if "anyone" actually wants it The box contains loads of surface mount conmponents, processors, pic chips, connectors and a mixture of stuff. I cannot see properly to solder anymore so there's no point in me keeping any of them and I'd rather they went to a good home than be chucked in the rubbish tip. If whoever gets them actually finishes the weather station board and gets it working properly I'd like to buy one of the completed boards back when finished to keep as a backup in case my weather station ever fails. This is the display I've settled on for the weather station I have if anyone wants to see it Edited 2021-07-02 23:05 by lew247 |

Raspberry Pi with Python 3, it runs on any version of the Pi from the Zero W (slow loading the first time but fine once it's loaded) to the Pi 4 I've got a Winson zphs01b air quality sensor attached that also analyses various gases as well And the display also shows the outside air quality, Pollen Index, Pollen Cause, and the pollen index for the next 8 hours as well Edited 2021-07-03 01:24 by lew247 |

Hi @lew247, I've had a think about this and because I'm a new electronics hobbyist and haven't yet accumulated a mountain of components (or boxes of unfinished projects) I'm wondering if even if I never put together a weather station there is stuff in here I can canabilise - if that's not the case then please put me straight. I'm also assuming that the volume (m3) of this material is not too large ? So if literally nobody else wants it and it is otherwise heading to landfill then I would love to take it, though I insist on paying the UK shipping (or picking it up in person if convenient). Additionally if you are available to advise I will endeavour to solder you up a spare weather station board (assuming there are no fine pitch ICs to deal with) which I would not expect you to pay for unless there are some expensive components that still need sourcing. I'm still hopeful someone else with better motivation will want this, Best wishes, Tom Edited 2021-07-03 03:10 by thwill MMBasic for Linux, Game*Mite, CMM2 Welcome Tape, Creaky old text adventures |

24"--right--r-pi HDMI output, very nice. Congrats on all the effort, successfully completed. Sometimes it's a winding road. PicoMite, Armmite F4, SensorKits, MMBasic Hardware, Games, etc. on fruitoftheshed |

This project looks amazing... Any chance full schematics/code available for this? Looks like lots could be learnt from studying this (well, for me anyway). That display screen layout is SWEET! Sorry, can't take it ![]() By the way, were the boards in the photos hand soldered or assembled by a assembly house? |
