I have a temperature display which has two Chinese characters that I do not understand.  Does any member have a knowledge of Chinese or someone they know who could provide me with a translation?

Google Translate (point your phone at it) says the top one is two words "Set/Assume" and the bottom one is "System".

Best wishes,

... or possibly the bottom is Refrigeration and/or Controller ?

I suspect they aren't single characters but possibly 2 or 4 characters in a block/icon.

Hi Circuit,

Sorry I can't read Chinese but I have a translate app on my iPhone and it said (after I had to edit the back shed text off it)

Top said "reverse straight" or "only straight"
Bottom said "system"

I have no idea how accurate these translations are.

Regards,

Thank you, that is most helpful though not fully definitive.  I do not own a mobile telephone nor does anyone in the household, so I am unfamiliar with 'Google Translate'.  I suspect that a native speaker is needed to give a reliable translation.  Anyone out there?

I work with a guy who is Chinese. I asked him to translate. This is what he says.

Top symbol is "Setting"
Bottom symbol is "Refrigerating" (making cold)

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to do this; your translation makes perfect sense in the context of the device which is cooling my laser cutter.  The translated instructions that it came with made no mention of these indicators.
