Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

After about 30 days of hard programming in my free time (I love my hobby), here is the first level of the Final Fight from the arcade, made 100% in MMBasic for the CMM2 (with some enhancements for the G2), including support for two players, option menu and intro.

Fantastic work! Thanks for sharing.

I'm impressed with what can be done on the CMM2.

Another amazing feat that I wouldn't believe if I hadn't seen it for myself.

Best wishes,

Sheesh! That's brilliant, Mauro!
Are you sure your CMM2 hasn't been secretly upgraded by Capcom? lol

And in BASIC too - that's amazing...

I have to finish these games:

- Final Fight
- Into The Darkness
- Mazes of Chaos
- Chuckie Egg

After all that, then I will think about another game to make a port. I'm accepting suggestions! (I would love to make a brainstorm about it)

Sincerely, I had already thought about Metal Slug or Contra III, but I'm not so confident in both SNK and Konami about the tolerance of a fan game. This was one of the motives that I dropped the Gauntlet port, as I would be very sad if receive something like a "cease and desist" order.

Think about any game of Capcom CPS1 or CPS2 machine... The System 16 arcade games are a good option too, as SEGA is very tolerant to fan games. Even some games made by SEGA to the Mega Drive / Genesis are a good option too (Sonic maybe?).

Fantastic! I wouldn't be surprised if quite a few people decided to get their CMM2 after watching Mauro's Youtube vids. I know I did.

If anyone is buying/getting/creating a CMM2 because of my videos or programs, it means that my target is achieved.
I really want to see the CMM2 community grow more and more (or at least the user base).
And thanks for your comment.

Me too.  I saw 8bit Guy's video and became interested but when I saw Mauro's Demo I bought it THAT VERY HOUR.  It took more time to figure where to get it from though.
