Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi All,

I see that Melbourne is under PWM lockdown. About 50% duty cycle.

It's the same here in Brisbane but we seem to be 180 deg. out of phase with Melbourne.

Just as they are starting lockdown, we are due to finish ours.

Hmmm....

We seem to be a bit low-pass filtered here now. It's looking rather more analogue, with only a bit of low level ripple.

In Tasmania, after 200+ days of bliss, the proverbial is just about to hit the fan thanks to the border control using an outdated instruction manual. (and a not so nice Sydneysider not bothering to read the manual at all).

There goes all my medical appointments scheduled over the next month...
I really needed those firmware updates.

Still better than anywhere else apart from those shaky islands to the east.

Stay safe.

You have a proper leader in charge. Apparently OUR virus respects a 10km radius.
Personally, I would like an amnesty for 1 week, for people to organise supplies/accommodation, and then lock down, completely, the entire state for a month.
This piece-meal crap is only extending the inevitable.
You all have probably seen the protest that occurred in Sydney a little while ago.
These self entitled snowflakes are causing the very problem they are protesting against. If everyone considers their fellow human being we will all get out of this much faster.
I feel sorry for our American friends on this forum. The lunacy of die-hard Republicans begs disbelief. Democrats will win the 2024 election as Darwin's theory will reign. They just can't see it yet.
I don't have a PWM metaphor but my wife attended the Digital School of Driving. Everything is either on of off. That includes brake and accelerator. The steering is nothing like linear either. It's like being in a Pinball machine.

BTW - I'm completely vaccinated. Certificate and all.

Here in the U.S., our leader is trying to phase lock loop us down while still doing everything in his power to upload as many immigrants into the main processor as possible, even paying for data transfer to any ram location of their choice....

Over here there's quite a hard drive to crunch a few anomalies, mainly to ram a few more people arriving via channelling. I think it will all lead to a head crash but nothing that can't be bubble sorted now we're out of lockdown.

This is a 'Microcontroller and PC projects' forum.
I wish that people would leave their political crap in the twitter sewer,
where it belongs!

:-( Or we could just ignore any politics we disagree with (nothing new there) and accept that blowing off steam and being a bit silly in one thread amongst many is a healthy thing to do.

Best wishes,

Tom

Hmmmmmmmmmmm ....

I just reviewed the forum guidelines. Glen invested quite a bit of time putting that all inclusive set of don'ts together, but, I think he missed something important ......

He fails to take note of the opposing effects which originate in the opposite corriolis effects experienced by residents of the northern and southern hemispheres, which have resulted in the proliferation of the unfortunate and illogical tendency to ........

Oh heck ..........

Youse guys are driving on the wrong side of the road!!! Get with the program!!!!

Paul,

I think we should call that a "crazy conspiracy theory" and thus classify it alongside "discussion of politics", which is, according to that document which I had read Mr. bloon, "strongly discouraged" ... not banned, thank you very much .

Best wishes,

Tom

Tom,

I think it is more like a convoluted misapplication of physics coupled to traffic regulations and social practice.

You know, Polaks were put here for one important purpose. We're supposed to confuse the rest of you.

I seem to live in a constant state of confusion. Good job I don't drive.

Is that why, Paul? You must be very good at it. :)
