Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi Guys,

my CMM2 has the Firmware 5.05.05 and i try to send and receive files over XMODEM protocol. Does the XMODEM SEND / RECEIVE commands only work over the USB (Serial Console) and NOT over COM1 on the 40 Pin IDE connector?

If yes, has that changed in newer firmware?

You need at least 5.6 to do this so I suggest you update to 5.7. See the latest manual for the syntax

Ok it works now over the COM1 Port. Thank you.

Is the CMM2 XMODEM SEND implementation able to work with CRC instead of Checksum?

In my case, the receiver sends an "C" instead of <NAK>. Is the CMM2 able to handle that correctly?

The Maximites are strictly the original XMODEM protocol only.
No CRC and no 1k blocks.

Thank you very much TassyJim

Now it is clear to me why it does not work for me!
