Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hello All,
Have decided to take the plunge and get a CMM2 Gen 2 machine.
Two questions.

1. Of the preassembled, seemingly available machines, I'm looking at the Colour Maximite 2 GEN2 Deluxe Edition and Colour Maximite 2 GEN2 from PSLabs, and the RetroMax 2.3a GEN2 from CircuitGizmos. I'm currently leaning toward the Deluxe from PS Labs. I've tried to enquire with PSLabs about stock level and shipping times but haven't gotten a response. Does anyone have experience (good or bad) ordering from PSLabs for delivery to the US? Does anyone have a connection with PSLabs and know when a unit might be shipped?

2. The Nunchuk ports are an interesting choice. Does anyone have recommendations on Nunchuk controllers to use with the ports? So far this is all I've come up with: https://www.amazon.com/Zettaguard-Classic-Controller-Nintendo-ZG-WC2/dp/B01GD48T9U/

Thanks for reading and thanks for the help!

On the controller's side, it is hit or miss if they work.  I ordered 3 different sets of Nunchucks and only one set even worked. I ordered 2 sets of Classic pro and only one worked. It is good if you order from Amazon because you can return them. I got some on eBay that did not work but did work on my old WII so I had to eat the cost.

I use official Nintendo nunchuks and haven't had one fail yet (fingers crossed!)

Thanks mclout999 and toml_12953. It dawns on me that any CMM2 software supporting the Nunchuk ports is going to expect the single analog joystick and two buttons of a stock wii Nunchuk. I was hoping to use a more traditional controller with two analog joysticks and a D-pad. Better example:

Does anyone know if the hardware (and Basic commands) support the more traditional (2 analog + D-Pad) controller?
Thanks

Yes.
Check the CLASSIC() and NUNCHUK() functions in the User Manual.

William Leue posted a nice test program for the Classic controller last September.

Pyotr from PS Labs might be on vacation and that might be the reason he did not respond. As for the stocks, that's heavily dependent on the availability of the parts on the market - the chip shortage has affected even this tiny niche community, so there might be some waiting time.

Thanks Rado. I wondered the same thing but did hear from Pyotr via email and the PSLabs website. (Why does gmail think everything is spam?) "Yes we have units on stock but stock is low and ARM chip shortage is preventing us from starting new production. Our average delivery time to US is currently 5 days, we are shipping next day from order."
