Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Here is another puzzle I have written for the CMM2. Your task is to pack the 12 unique pentominoes into a rectangle that is 6x10, 5x12, 4x15, or 3x20 squares in size. It's difficult! The puzzle includes sample solutions for each rectangle size, but there are thousands of possible unique solutions, and not just the ones that are simple transformations of the entire layout.

Here is version 1.1.0 of the Pentomino Packing Puzzle! This new version has two new features:

A puzzle save/restore feature that lets you save your puzzle in any step of the solving process, including a fully solved puzzle, and later restore it so you can continue working on it or show a completed puzzle to amaze your friends. Function keys F1 and F2 are for save and restore, respectively. The 'restore' function displays a list of up to 66 saved puzzle files and lets you choose one. Saved puzzles are stored in the ./SavedPuzzles directory.

The other new feature is a 5th puzzle layout that has an 8x8 grid with a 2x2 hole in the center. Like the other 4 layouts, it's hard!

Enjoy!
