Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

It is on my list to do a firmware update for the MMX - one day

My favourite Micromite is the 144pin exTreme - so powerful and capable.  I have just dug out a new chip ready for board mounting and programming and I checked around for the latest firmware (Thankfully I had a couple in stock - RS have them listed for delivery in February 2023!).  I tried to locate the latest firmware here by search and it seems that the latest version is 5.05.04 - vintage Sept 2019.  Is this correct?

I think that this was the first port that Peter did - and fantastically as I think it remains still about the most powerful of the Micromite family - certainly in terms of the number of control pins that are available and program size.  So for those of us who actually do make use of 144 pins... is there any chance of that firmware update?

Peter, I have followed all your other ports; L4, H7 (but boards not available now...); the Pi and so forth - all beyond my dreams in terms of accessible microcontrollers - but the eXtreme remains, for me, the most versatile and your masterpiece.  A tune-up to bring it up to date with the rest of the family would be VERY much appreciated.

Edit- I note that Geoff's Projects Page on his website still points to version 5.04.08 from 2018.

Thank you, I had spotted that but this is labelled; "Modified on 2017/08/09 14:01 by matherp".  Also, there seems to be a discrepancy in the labelling; I seem to recall a post some time ago by Geoff explaining a change in the labelling structure.  Hence the label "5.4.05" is, I suspect, obsolete.

I seem to recall that there are different versions for the E64 and the E100/144.
The E64 has less functionality.
