to find out what exactly Frank N.Furters Problem with MM4bW is , i setup a new win10
installation . ( i mean he have the dll but it shows allready the error)

mmb4w trow some msvc40 errors and finally a Stop error code 0x0000007B !

copy the dll will not help : install visual studio 2022 !!

works fine now .
dunno it it fits the winmm.dll problem also .

Not my area of expertise, but I am nevertheless confident that if you are running a program built with VS 2022 and not statically linked then you need the appropriate redistributable package installed:

The majority of MMB4W users aren't seeing this issue because some other (properly packaged and not slung on its own in a .zip file

) application has already installed a compatible redistributable package.

I may of course be completely wrong,

all i can say is after installing the studio the stop error is gone

Yes, funnily enough I imagine it includes everything contained in its corresponding redistributable

The first thing to look for is a "Microsoft Visual C++ xxxx Redistributable (x86)"
I would expect that it is one of them that's missing but don't know what version.
