Thanks for accepting my request to join the forum. I'm trying to purchase a 'Micromite 2 Assembled' and have sent an email to the address on the Micromite website a couple of times with no success. I do appreciate the world issues are having a huge impact on supply and prices, but the website also looks rather abandoned. Is the project still in operation, and where can I find the latest information? Thanks Peter Jones https://micromite.org/shop/maximites/colour-maximite/colour-maximite-2-generation-2-fully-assembled/ |

Hi, I have an unused Maximite 2 Gen 2 (unboxed, upgraded with a wireless module which will need firmware flashing). If you don't have any luck ordering one from the Micromite site and you're in the UK, send me a PM and we can discuss a sale if you're interested. elk1984 (Trevor) |

Hi Peter, There is (as far as I am aware) no Micromite* 2. What you appear to be trying to obtain is a Colour Maximite 2 (G2), an ARM based SBC running MMBasic. Bottom line is that due to the world wide silicon shortage nobody can build these anymore so unless you can find someone who wants to sell theirs second hand you are currently out of luck. The main project page for the CMM2 and other 'mites is https://geoffg.net/ The hardware is open-source (or effectively so) and micromite.org was "just" the UK seller. Phil / @WhiteWizzard who runs micromite.org appears to have dropped off the planet; hopefully to emerge some time soon since I found him a really helpful guy when I got my original CMM1 and CMM2. In the absence of new CMM2s the "action" is currently occurring around its little brother the PicoMiteVGA which utilises the (currently) widely available Raspberry Pi Pico module. This is also an SBC running MMBasic but is substantially less powerful than the CMM2. At the moment there is AFAIK nobody making a business out of selling these either as kits of parts or fully assembled. However (no promises) when I order a new batch of PCBs (for the PicoGAME variant) I don't mind putting one in the post to you if you can solder, I can probably also muster up most of the parts at cost - with no guarantees that they work - I am not a business I'm just another UK based enthusiast on The Back Shed. Best wishes, Tom *The Micromite name is used for a series of PIC microcontrollers also running MMBasic. Thanks Tom. It was a typo. Yes, it's the machine in the link on the OP. I have (only recently) become aware of the Pico project. It's interesting, but not really what I' m after. Thanks very much for your help. Peter |

There was a "Micromite Mk II" in one of the Silicon Chip flock of articles |
