Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hello the way I have my CMM2s setup is on a KVM that combines the Keyboard and Mouse in to 1 USB
I have some Stupid Questions like:
1. is the mouse really useable, and how ?
2. if I hang a hub off the single usb what else can I do with the USB?
3. I'm thinking about getting a wireless usb KB/Mouse, it should work, right ?
I may be Vulgar, but , while I'm poor, I'm Industrious, Honest,  and trustworthy! I Know my Place

1. mouse has to be PS/2 capable and plugged into its correct port
2. NO hubs. Some might work OK but you are still restricted to one keyboard
3. The keyboard should work OK (mine does) but refer to item 1 for the mouse

I have a mechanical USB switch to switch a wireless kb/mouse combo between the cmm2 and a RPi.
I have a separate wired mouse for the CMM2

The only USB device supported is a USB Keyboard. The mouse port on the 2ed Gen is only for PS/2 mice that are duel USB/PS/2 with the port there.  You can make a pigtail adapter for PS/2-only mice.  I made one so I can use either kind of PS/2 mice.  I think no hubs in any device are supported.  If you have a 1st Gen CMM2 you must make a PS/2 cable that attaches to the 40pin GPIO.  I made one.  Do some searches on here for PS/2 mice. and Read the current manual as all of this is in that.  Some Wireless Keyboard ONLY (no mouse because the two devices do not work on a hub chip that must be present in them) will work just fine.  There is a USB Mouse option on Gen 2 but you must install a USB mouse emulator chip to the motherboard.  On the Gen 1 you can make a cable that puts that chip on the GPIO pins. There are many discussions about this on here.
