Ed square shopping centre chargefox screenshot  Macarthur centre for Sustainable Living chargefox screenshots. I had 3 of them but only copied 2 of them. All free.   Left Macarthur centre for Sustainable Living at 2.06pm with 77% capacity.  Went to Bendooley Estate but the Tesla outlets didn't work on T-Rev. I tried tethered cable direct and connected to my cable. Neither way worked. At Suzi Auto OZ DIY, the Tesla outlet didn't work direct, but did work with my cable between the tethered cable and T-Rev.  Arrived at Goulburn 4.36pm 77% - 23% = 54% used. The battery screen has a lot of reflections and very hard to see the numbers Didn't photo the speedo and don't remember the distance. Sparkled in the dimming sun.  Only filled battery up to 79% Free charge and no charge data from outlet. Left Goulburn at 6.12pm Got good charge rate from this outlet.  Arrived at Sister's place in Canberra around 7.30pm. The rain is not going away yet, so decided to go driving in it. Now charging at IKEA Canberra. It is supposed to be 3ph 32A but it went off. Looks like a lot of fun to travel in Trev. Do you have covers for the doors when it rains? What is the maximum range you get from T Rev? One day I would like to have an electric car too, but may have to convert one myself if I can find parts at a reasonable price. I definitely do not want rubbish like heated seats and steering wheels or 25 speaker sound systems. I just want a basic car that will take me and my partner shopping and back with other short trips sometimes. Seems that electric car makers are going for as much digital whizbangerry as possible to get customers sucked in. Cheers and have fun Pete |

Jim, thanks for posting. Interesting. Pete, yes I did make doors but motorbikes don't require doors, so never been on since rego. Driving in the rain is no problem. Here in Canberra on Thursday was pouring rain. I still drove in it. Did around 40km driving around Canberra. Max range depends on speed, terrain, wind, temperature, rolling resistance (tyre pressure). Generally speaking 200km at 100kmhr, flat ground, smooth road, no wind. Town driving around 360km range. I can supply the parts, don't know what you consider as reasonable price. Trev @ drivebynature.com |

Hi Trev, thanks for the information. I am yet to look at a car that would be suitable. Where I live we get quite a bit of ice and some snow in winter, lots of rain and a dirt road too. So for safety, I want an allwheel or small 4wd car. Small is the sort of cars we like so still not sure what to go with. Can you tell me what a rough figure would be for a conversion kit? I know it won't be easy but just a close figure would help. Seems the off the shelf electric cars are very expensive. And like I said far too many extras that I would not want. I just want a basic car. Pete |

Intended to leave Sister's place at 5.30am. Closed the front door which automatically locks. Walked to T-Rev to find plenty of ice. Tipped water on screen which solidified too. 1/2 hr later after scraping the ice off with my glove, I drove down the driveway and fog/ iced over again. Several attempts got it ok to see through.  At one point the ice just would not stay off. As soon as I wiped the ice off, the fog solidified again on the windscreen. Just had to wait for the sun.  Charged at Goulburn  My EV journey is over. 50km south of Sydney. I stopped to check a noise in the back wheel. While looking at the back wheel, a truck ran into the front right hand side. 100-110km/hr. Never stopped either.   A real life test of the body strength. It did not get the front wheel/ swing arm assembly off. Trev @ drivebynature.com |

Sorry to hear about the car being damaged. I hope that you reported the truck to the cops and that they find him. Hit and Run is a pretty serious offence. I am guessing that the car is not driveable, hope it it not too big a job to fix it. Pete |

Unbelievable! I have a serious dislike of trucks and this is one reason why. Driver was probably on something and pushing his time limit as so many of them do. Had one bowl over my letterbox today. Thought they may have reversed into it but the security camera footage showed the idiot hit it front on. Do they open their eyes or like use " The Force". Sounds like this was a Bloody close call you had. Could have turned out much worse and only avoided but pure luck. Hope you can get it fixed and back on the road soon and find the mongerel responsible. |

Yes Pete, I am fine. I was not in the vehicle. One of my nephews brought his dad's car trailer. All was good. Got home safe. Spare time has been limited, so repairs are slow. T-Rev body is now repaired and undercoated.  It was the back of the front right wheel the truck hit. The mudguard was flung about 50m down the road. No repairs have been done on the guard or wing yet. The lights survived the hit. No damage done to the swing arms, ball joints, or hub spindle. 1 bent bolt and slight bent rim.
