Hi folks,

I've never had call for it before but thought I better check the that the Bintendo PCB was correctly wired up for the ILI9341 touch interface ... I think it is.

However my older ILI9341 module is reluctant to calibrate, e.g.

> gui calibrate

Deviation X = 153, Y = 370 (pixels)

Deviation X = -2147483648, Y = 388 (pixels)

Error : Touch hardware failure

And even when it does GUI TEST TOUCH either does nothing, or plots points in a vertical line down the left hand side of the screen.

I have another ILI9341 straight out of the anti-static bag that seems to be fine.

Is this likely to just be a case of a (partially) dead ILI9341 ... or more strictly the XPT2046 touch controller ?

maybe the touch 5 wire ribbon cable on the right is not making good contact.try touching it and pressing the display connectors down. there is a gap on mine that closes. if it fixes it, glue it.
