Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Very interesting, thanks. :)

Youtube led me to this next. It explains digital logic right from switching lights on to H&V SCADA systems via valves, transistors and microprocessors. A fun and educational watch, I thought.

The video explains it nicely step by step...
It reminds me of my electronics training 40 years ago.
sadly, a few years later, they stopped repairing components and just replaced them instead.

They were green because, in olden times, it was the only color available.  I was there.

Now, not only are there many different colours you can choose from, but I see that houses like JLC now offer MULTI-COLOURED silkscreens, so you can REALLY make a pretty looking board if you want!

God what a horrible video. As a manufacturing engineer who worked making PCB for 15 years, the video is only about 50% accurate. I believe the part about a study by the U.S. military in the 50’s is accurate, but I’ll do more research and make another post with all the corrections.
