Looks Great,
I notice that here, just like with the NES emulator, an RP2040 seems to be enough.
I'm sure I still have 2 or 3 RP2040 clones lying around here.
One could put them to good use with that.
Isn't it a bit wasteful to use the PC3 for this?
Cheers

Hi Martin,
Of course, all these emulators worked on the RP2040, even with HDMI audio.
However, with RP2350 + PSRAM, NES game images are loaded not into flash memory, but instantly into RAM.
As for the PC3 platform, I built it on a breadboard, and now I have something to play with. So, it's just for fun.

Cheers

I think that little Olimex board might be a decent enough platform for this, using the sound over HDMI instead of its badly designed system. Mind you, it wouldn't stretch the resources of stripboard much.

That’s not to take anything away from this project or Vladim’s work. I’ve just got a couple of Picos lying about here, and this would be a funny use for them.

I meant the "RP2040-PC" or something like that, the one that you plug a Pico into.

PicoPeanutGB is a Game Boy (DMG) and Game Boy Color emulator for PC3
PicoPeanutGB_v13.zip
v0.13 Release notes
A maintenance release. It brings the shared menu and support code up to date; the emulator itself is unchanged. Upgrading is only a matter of flashing the new .uf2 — your settings, saves and save states on the SD card are untouched.
Fixes
DVI-only monitors show a picture again. With Display Mode set to DVI, some older screens that accept DVI but not HDMI stayed black. They work again.
Clone Pico boards no longer crash at start-up. Boards fitted with a cheaper flash chip than a genuine Raspberry Pi Pico could hang on power-on. The chip is now recognised and driven at a speed it can handle. Genuine Picos are unaffected.
Steadier start-up. The board lets its power settle before switching to the higher clock speed.

The RP2040 can only run the old monochrome GB games.
For color you need the 2350.
