Vic I am not sure which Eve you are talking about, could there realy be two?

Yes the rock my Eve sits on did go underwater this afternoon and still is, but rest assured I made sure she was safely escorted to my bedroom.

Do you have her cousin?

My offer of water still stands.

Hi Allan

Looks like a good spot for a water wheel if you can tame it a bit and drag yourself away from Eve.

Hi Bob, yes I am still evaluating hydro potential at this site but my first priority this evening is Eve's welfare, she is understandably distressed at the submergence of "her" rock. So for now my full attention is ON Eve.

Good point Bob, wouldn`t like any tender bits to be nipped(pain go swelling stay). A of J ,you sure that wasn`t Jane you sent up originally, she seemed to spend a lot of time climbing trees. Edited by norcold 2012-01-25

Not sure Vic, in my creek/swimming hole I have jungle perch, cat fish, yabbies, eal and of course nymph, it's the latter that can mislead an old fella.

Hi Allan

I think new glasses are in order, and a bit less wobbly weed.

Spent some time this morning looking for Eve, maybe she had an invite to a BBQ elsewhere

At least the batteries are doing OK

Ops that is not very clear, then again I do need better glasses.

Nice creek windlight.

Save the image as a GIF instead of a JPG, that way the forum resizes to 1000 pixels wide instead of 500 pixels.

You can add a turtle or two to my creek inhabitants, I had forgotten about them until this afternoons dip.

Bob may have stolen Eve but I will settle for my neighbor

A of J,
Note your running SP Link on your inverter. What model is your inverter? mine`s the old SA Series running Remote Link which is no where near as comprehensive as SP Link.

Vic it is a SPMC482-AU,( 48V 6/18 KW) very handy and much easier to program than the previous series although they seem bullet proof as well.

The Zantrax MPPT's are much quieter than the Outback I had previously, perhaps the absence of a screaming fan helps

A little bit of show and tell.

One of the insect control contractors, St Andrews cross spider

Garden update, I am still learning what I can and can't grow up here, this hardy little cucumber vine just keep on keeping on, more fruit than what I can eat.

Can't say corn likes the heat too much, had sucess during the dry but these did not quite do it, not a complete failure though.

Pumpkins are looking promising,

The passionfruit vine is going well, need some more staking but it's on the list.

The green ants have decided it's a good place to build a nest

The beans are looking miserable but they keep me in beans

Sweet spuds have recently been planted out

Then there are these little mouths to feed

21st Birthday?

I grew passionfruit and pumkins well in tropical Mackay, I think it was the only thing I could grow, the local wildlife ate everything else. Since moving down to Toowoomba, I've tried a few of the plants that I didn't have much luck with up north. Corn is a big success here, lots of yum and no grubs. But the passionfruit seedling and coconut palm didn't survive the first winter.

Green ants, yeah I dont miss those little buggers. Nothing like brushing past a tree and ending up with a million of the things biting the back of your neck. Or cane toads, dont miss them either.

Missed your 21st, my apologies, I was on my first date. Imagine the board meeting was productive with all executives getting a massive pay rise in line with international standards.
Keep them green ants handy, have a lychee tree full of green ants, they keep the birds out at fruiting time but what a bast...d when trying to prune & pick. Natures security agency.
