I was given a Marty Robbins CD (MP3 LOTS of tracks - many were M Robbins) We played it outback where there was no radio - and played it and......I think I've quite gone off M Robbins. If I hear "the hangin tree" or "Rose's Cantina" any time soon, I'll scream! David M. |

This is somewhat an exclusive - I have NEVER heard the song, and I have NEVER seen the video, so I searched YouTube for the official video, and copied the link here. Hmmmmmm. Unimpressive, as far as I am concerned. Sticks to one basic octive, overlays of electronic bass etc. Still - credit where credit is due - she deserves the fame she now has, if that is what currently passes for music.
I guess I am too old-school. Give me Deep Purple, Queen, DIO, Iron Maiden, Metallica, AC/DC, Cold Chisel etc.... As I mentioned above - probably not one of the songs I was going to fall in love with, what with my rock roots, but now at least I have actually heard the song and seen the video.
