Hello, I develop a program to drive RGB LCD with 5 pushbuttons. G8JCF published drivers for this devices in the forum, but today is not downloadable. (Link doesn't exist). Have you any possibility to get this code? Best regards drkl |

Hi Drkl, Peter (G8JCF), has unfortunately at this stage withdrawn all of his code from distribution. He `may' at a later stage re-instate the files for general distribution but that is entirely up to him. All that aside, Peter has given me the right to distribute his libraries to support my IO-Panel board. I am not certain that the library will still run on the latest versions of MMBasic. I unfortunately will not abuse Peter's trust in me and will not distribute the libs without his prior permission without my IO-Panel. Not trying to turn this into a commercial post but the IO-Panel is $6AUS and postage for a bare board to Hungary should be $3AUS.. If you are desperate I feel that will be the only way you could get the libraries.. I feel that you then could not post your code on TBS if it has Peter's Libraries included but for your own use you should be OK. I am not a lawyer and not sure of the above statement and I will email Peter, and hope he replies, to make sure that he is still OK with me distributing his Libs with my board, especially as it is only to get the libraries. A grey area... Peter's Libraries were brilliant and made LCD control (via I2C) such a breeze. Regards, Mick Mick's uMite Stuff can be found >>> HERE (Kindly hosted by Dontronics) <<< |

“The wrongdoer is more unfortunate than the man wronged.” He knows what he has done. He knows who he is. He knows how he has wronged me. Does he have the grace to admit his guilt ? Thank you G for remembering me. To those I may have wronged, I ask forgiveness. To those I may have helped, I wish I had done more. To those I neglected to help, I ask for understanding. To those who helped me, I thank you with all my Heart Peter The only Konstant is Change |

G'day Peter, Its good to see that you are alive and kicking so to speak. I am only a casual observer as MM doesn't tick most of my requirements. But, from what I have observed you made a lot of positive contribution to the MM ecosystem and the MM part of this forum. It is a great shame to see lot of your effort gone to waste and I hope that you can resolve your differences with whomever you have it. Regards John |

Hi Peter, To date that library was ONLY available (free) with the purchase of my IO-Panel PCB. I am now down to my last few and I doubt I will get a new batch done.. Am I to take it that I may now post it for all to use as they please? If so I will upload them today or tomorrow. Take care Peter, Regards, Mick Mick's uMite Stuff can be found >>> HERE (Kindly hosted by Dontronics) <<< |

Hi All, Peter, OK, I am unsure where I should place these to keep them easily locatable but.. Here are Peter's 2 Library files. 2018-03-04_105049_LCDI2CLibV7.zip 2018-03-04_105114_I2CKeyPad_MUPV1.zip They were both written to suit my IO-Panel but from memory they are fully configurable.. We all know I cant program my way out of a wet paper back but I had no problems using these libraries.. They were written at a time when the latest version was around 4.7 but there is nothing magic like C code or others they should still work with the latest flavour of MMBasic. Anyway Thank you PETER for allowing these to be released in the wild again.. Hope to see more of you on TBS soon. Hi Mick Thanks for posting, as you say the libraries are pure MMBasic with no tricks and fully configurable so should work for most any setup/configuration :) Take care, and all the very best - BTW when is Melbourne Cup Day ? Peter The only Konstant is Change |
