Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Just a quick note to say I am reading all these requests.
I will let the thread know when the boards arrive.
They won't be far away now.

Dear Grogs,
FANTASTIC example of cooperation and skill. The PI opens up some amazing options. Really appreciate posting up the zip file with gerbers etc for manufacture.
SInce the board has a lot of through hole components and I looking at student assembly .

Thanks and looking forward to the files.

@ Intellecta - OK, will compile a ZIP file, and upload it here soon. Love your user-name, BTW.

@ Jim - Ahhhh. Thanks. I have lots of those abbreviations in my brain, but that one was missing. Yep, with something like this, it is very much a first in, first served basis. The PCB's will be dispatched in the order they were asked for on this thread.

Dear Grogster,
Thanks for your effort and positive comment about the user-name - comes from our company Intellecta Technologies. We were the first incubator company to arise from the Uni of SA. I was senior lecturer in Applied Physics and had the task of trying to teach control systems to Civil Aviation students. Slightly easier than the Friday afternoon graveyard shift of teaching Mech Eng students after their weekly bbq.
The icon control system was developed by one of my students and by chance we made a coop with another student and a mech designer. Had to choose a name and many reds were consumed in the process. I know the name is not English but I am very patriotic and thought that after you have mined the country of all resources, shipped all the lpg overseas, etc etc then you will have to pay what is between our ears - our intellect. The a was chucked in because it sounded better.
Still going after 27 years and supporting our original customer in the US with a data logging and control system based on joining icons for current/voltage etc and a raft of control functions - timers/flip flops/logic gates/export to excel, graphics etc. In need of some updates to Win 64.
Once again, thanks for the comment.

Here is a link to the Pi-Cromite 1B PCB Constructors pack. Contains BOM, Schematic(as a GIF and a schematic file), 274-X Gerber files(and Excellon drill data), and both the layout file and schematic file viewers. Linked here, cos the ZIP file is 6.2MB, and the ZIP upload limit here is 1MB - and that's fair enough - the forums are not cloud storage.

Grogster was kind enough to send me one of the version 1 PCBs so I thought it was worth posting some pics of how neat it looks. Makes connecting the screen and peripherals so easy and eliminates wiring issues when developing and debugging

The Pi is a Zero W. The standoffs are 11mm

OK, going over this thread from page one, in the order members posted, I have the following list:

cdeagle - 1
RonnS - 2
jman - 2
f1fco - 2
Bill7300 - 2
astroboy - 2
bigmik - 2
paceman - 2
atmega8 - 2
bigfix - 3
Rosscovey - 2
Frank N. Furter - 2
centrex - 1
MikeO - 1

This adds up to a grand total of 26 boards.
I have 30 boards here, so that leaves me with four, but those last four are already assigned, so if anyone wants any more, I will get more boards done. I expect that we have all interested parties in the list now, but if anyone else wants one, they have only to ask - or download the constructor's pack and they can make their own.

Can all those on the list please zap me a quick PM telling me your postage details, and I in turn will zap you back PayPal details.

The Constructor's pack appears to have left home. It can't now be found on the link supplied by Grogs on 31 August?

UPDATE:

PCB's sent today to the following members:

f1fco (+ Printermite assembled board, and 2x blank PCB)
Frank N. Furter (+ 2x Printermite PCB)
Rosscovey
bigfix
bigmik (+ E28 boards as requested)

I think that's everyone - please post here if I have missed anyone.

EVERYONE PLEASE NOTE:
The first batch of boards has the SPI LCD Vcc labelled as "5v0", but that is a silkscreen error. The SPI LCD Vcc is 3v3. This was corrected on the next batch of 20 boards. This has no effect on operation of the board, it is just a silkscreen error. Just in case members wonder if the SPI LCD is connected to 5v, it is not.

Hi Grogster,
I did put in for 2 but don't panic, just whenever you do another run will be fine.
(Only ordered RPI a few days ago)

Phil
