Need some support with setting up or building 48 volts batteries pack by useing 4 x 12 volts King 200 amp lithium and thinking buy other four more king lithium batteries 200 amp  so  total with 8 batteries 400 amp at 48 volts I am not sure if will not affect kings batterie's performers i thinking should be ok to deal with kings battery setup ?
Anyway the moment am running 2000 watt 240 volt inverters 0n 400 amp 12 volt for 5 months without any dramra for home use
Brought Victron Multiplus-11 48 volts/5000/70amp and will use Kings batteries setup later on when i am ready to buy solar panel soon.. Cheers Ian

Hello Ian, IMHO I would think carefully before connecting four LiFePO4 12V batteries in series, despite what they tell you, they do not share the voltage across each equally OVER TIME. Been there done that a few years a go.

It's usually recommended to include a 12V four Input active balancer to keep them tracking together, does not always work even then.

The other thing is the unknown variances in the construction quality of the individual batteries, without seeing one cracked open, it's had to judge if any shortcuts were taken, you can get away with some of that in a parallel bank setup, but you will come unstuck quickly in a series setup.

If the batteries had Bluetooth monitoring of each cell and you know what you are doing, you could keep an eye them for signs of impending failure.

In the end it would pay to get a 48V setup with a single 16S BMS.

I've used 4x 12v units in series for years, I have 2x 48v balancers (in case one fails). Lookup HA02 balancer, get one with 4x voltage displays.

alternatively you can charge each battery individually with it's own isolated charger/mppt and run the loads at 48v

I ran them as well but series LiFePO4 can fail, especially if the balancer has a fault on one port, documented by some of battery manufactures and unless stated for series connections it could void any warranty.

If you are happy to monitor each battery then go for it, some just want to set it and forget it, except for the occasional glance at the HI-LOW delta display.

If you are building something with whatever you have at your disposal and do as you have done, that fine as well.

My post was aimed at someone just starting to expand their build and IMHO it's worth thinking about doing it correctly before putting down the cash.
