it's time to make some bank everyone!!
get yer wheel-barrows ready to take all that money...

not so fast.
it's now $0.0004/kWhr
that is 0.04 cents

what are you paying for street power now?

this is why we do this.
why we put up solar arrays, why we charge our batteries and why we run our
home build inverters.

It's come to the point where the cost of street power is equal to
what we can self generate.

regulatory capture is so good for shareholders - don't you think?

That  makes me glad that I have lived off grid for the last 49 years.
I guess that grid users will want to install batteries fast, or work at night so they can use their solar power in the day.
Seems that once utilities get privatised then profit is the most important motive, and the users are told to lump it

Locked in 54 cents 15 years ago from our old 2.8kW Solar on the House, it basically does nothing but Grid feed all day.

Mains AC supplies power to the Stove and Oven "only".

Everything else, including Hot water system, is off grid.

Off grid has 12kW Solar, and soon to be 18kW.

Supply charge $121.00

General usage 30.82 cents kWh  (no smart meter)

Solar Feed in 49 cent kWh.

Feed in covers everything and keeps increasing our credit each quarter, we are able to transfer most of the growing credit to our Bank account every 12 months.

I expected the feed in to be cancelled by now or at anytime, and/or be billed for feeding back into the grid.

At which time that old feed in system gets disconnected, the Feed-in Inverter gets binned, and another 12kW of new panels will replace the old array, this adds even more Solar to our Off-Grid system, this should well and truly cover weeks of rainy days.

EDIT

Highest feed in for QLD new systems is around 10C but with strings attached including, blood type and random drug tests.

Standard 0C to 7C or thereabouts.
