G'Day Guy's, Well looking for my old post on grid tie was like pulling teeth so hence this new thread on the topic of powering my shearing shed. Now I am working again this project is going ahead and my excavator is up there and after a couple runs with it the job of leveling and filling is going to easy This brings in the power system I want to put in. 12 1,000AH Ceil deep cycle batteries for a 24 volt setup. The inverter will be Poida's totem pole board as yes I am behind the times and I did buy every component for it. Got all the passives on the board and soon I'll drill and tap the heatsinks to fit all 24 HY5608 fets as I do have plenty here. Now on reading Poida did push 4Kw or more out this board with a single toroid Now as I do have to see AEM Cores to get the toroids I'm thinking of stacking 2 of them and get their winding shop to wind the secondary on. So as we only need the secondary I am going to ask to use the thickest wire that can fit so it can suit the back feeding. This does make me think about this back feeding from using a grid tie, now I do have a couple of 5Kw grid ties here and 6.3Kw of solar so I'm thinking the back feeding can just charge the batteries. To keep warm in winter that 1850 wood stove that has a wet back so some 2" poly pipe will be in the concrete slab will be put in. Regards Bryan |
