I built a new E-Trike as I flipped my old one. Had replaced 12 year old controller
that just stopped working. I had what I though was the same but later it found out some
parts where not installed. As I was testing I hit the guide rail for gate and was shot
over the speed bump and ended up breaking my right shoulder in two places along with
two ribs and my right hand. When I was well enough I found that the ground for the
throttle had come off inside the controller sending full speed.

This time I have added a resistor between controller +5 and throttle +5. I now limit
max speed to 18MPH. Also added a small cap to the throttle out so it stopped jumping
on startup. Working on a micro to set the speed curve.

Now the pas. How can I reduce the lowest speed? It goes way to fast for me.
I haven't found and circuits showing the internal working so I could make a mod.

I just turned 70 and need things to go slow.

Thank for any help.

Photo's of motor drive and controller setup.
If you don't need the speed, the next option would be to change the motor drive gearing so it cannot go over speed, however we don't know if that is possible with some ready built motor kits, depends on what you have.
