Hi all.   Its that time of the year again

This is my Christmas Lights for 2025.

I have used about 30 raspberry picomites controlling many WS2812 LED Strips and some picaxe controllers for the motion control in the carnival section.

2025 lights

Merry Christmas to all

I love Christmas lights.
Very nice display.

NOTE TO OTHERS: Beware of a drastic volume level change(louder!) in the 2nd half of this video. (@ 2:49)

These Christmas displays always amaze me. We have nothing at all like this round here if you discount the occasional garden centre. Geeat work as usual, Bill.  :)

Brilliant as usual Bill,

It makes me want to travel interstate to see it.

I am curious, are they mostly PIC based or are they now PICOs?

I note that there is a bit of green lawn in front of the merry go rounds so I can’t wait for next years iteration.

Keep up the great work

Regards,

Mick (the big one)

Generally  all the LEDs (WS2812 Strips)use a PICOMites.  The control of the motors in the carnival rides I use Picaxe 08M2 - 28x2s.  The matrix displays use PIC32 series chips.  Even the train has a picaxe 14m2 + Bluetooth control + DFPlayer MP3 for the sound and ultrasonic humidifier for the smoke.

Sample schematic of the robot ride.
