... by my 10 year old daughter.

chapter-1.zip

I think it will work on PicoMite VGA/HDMI and Serial, CMM2, MMB4W, etc. but I've only tested it with MMB4L's simulation option.

It's pretty easy stuff and will only take you 10 minutes to complete, but with some help from Dad I think she made a nice job of it. There are four more chapters/vignettes which I'd be happy to post if anyone is interested, and can confirm chapter 1 is working on the real hardware.

Best wishes,

Tom

Hi Tom,

It works on RP2040 VGA with PS2 keyboard. But you have to learn how to talk to the parser. Only 2 words are allowed, with (for some words) limited alternatives.

After some trying with "hoist sail" I discovered that "set sail" works. But now I have to rescue the soldier from the water, having a rope, but not yet knowing how to use it.

I'll spend some more time on it. In essence it works.

EDIT:
You set the sails and are soon heading back to Netherlands.
Press any key to continue.
Error : could not find the file.

Missing chapter 2....come on Melody, send me chapter 2 please...

Thanks for the feedback @Volhout, you can now "HOIST THE SAIL".

> You set the sails and are soon heading back to Netherlands.

The soldier says, "Cor blimey, guv'nor! Are you sure you are sailing in the right direction?"

> Missing chapter 2....come on Melody, send me chapter 2 please...

Melody, Tom,

Very enjoyable !! Good job.
Minor improvement: allow dance steps also with single character (L for LEFT etc..). On the other hand, it is fun to find out you need full words, and you are not punished for  trying.

Thank you,

Volhout
