I use PPP 2W in Picocalc. I noticed I have 6MB PSRAM from the beginning, even if the board has 8MB. What is the reason of this?

2 Mb are reserved for the system AFAIK for Ram slots, Modbuf etc. So 6 Mb remaining for extending the heap is the normal behavior and hasn't changed for long time. Edited 2026-07-19 21:58 by dddns
