Just a big ol' blank screen, no prompt and no response to keyboard input.
Do I need to reinstall?

After breaking my right shoulder, hand and two ribs typing got very hard.

I use Linux so under "system settings" "keyboard" "shortcuts" "Custom Shortcuts"

to use Alt+key to do long typing of sites and passwords

  example command
[xdotool sleep 0.3 type 'username password'] assigned to Alt+n

  you could use
[xdotool sleep 0.3 type 'OPTION DEFAULT MODE 9'] assigned to your choice.

I have done this for about 20 keys for writing code with one hand. LOL

I think windows has a similar function.

Have FUN

also using Arduino and BadUsb as a way to send keyboard plus mouse combo
by pressing 1 button.

I have two of these setup giving me 20 custom key/mouse functions.

I have been meaning to do something like this for a while but keep forgetting.

Think I'll try this.

I also have a blank screen when starting MMB4W (exe dated 10/2/2025). OPTION DEFAULT MODE 9 still gives me a blank screen. OPTION DEFAULT MODE 16 (as elsewhere suggested) also does. OPTION DEFAULT MODE 1 works, showing me the prompt.

But if I issue "files", what I have asked for is listed, but the ">" is in a very large font. OPTION DEFAULT MODE 1 takes me back to what is expected.

Is there a way to start up without the blank screen (because I forget about the OPTION DEFAULT MODE 1 fix), and is there a way for "files" not to reset the mode?
