I was not sure where to post this, or how to contact the webmaster, but I mainly glance through this section of the forum, as I am building my MM2G2. It seems to work well, but I am waiting on the LED's to mount to the front and I still have to make the panel cutouts, since none are available.

I was afraid of turning it on, since the datasheet does not recommend to leave the output pins floating.

But, The reason I am posting this is to find out if everyone else out here is getting hit with a big load of advertising on the BSF. You would think that it would not be possible to advertise on someone's site without them knowing, but with my crazy ISP (Internet Service Provider) I am just not sure, of where these adds are coming from.

It seems like every site I go to, I am bombarded by way too much advertising, and forced to look at unsightly legs of very old people. If any one cares to comment, please do.

To make the internet a more pleasant place to be (well, visuals-wise anyway!) Use a decent web browser and plugin. I can recommend the Brave or Waterfox browsers, neither of which are controlled by the great advertising company Google. Extensions such as Adblocker Ultimate will then clean out the rubbish. Be nice to sites you like though, and switch it off for their own ads.

Floating pins:
If Input pins are left floating then they can sometimes introduce noise and cause problems. Normally the chip will power up with the pins in an "off" or high impedance state. You can, if you wish, reconfigure them in your program to make them digital inputs with pullup resistors. That reduces the noise by quite a bit.

You could configure them as outputs for even better noise performance, but that's at the risk of pins inadvertently being connected to the opposite supply rail, possibly damaging them.

Generally, unless you are in an electrically noisy environment, the default "off" condition is safe enough.

What I understood, and what works for me, is that you have commercials until you log in. While you are logged in you get no commercials. At least.. not me.
