I ordered & received 2pcs Constant Current CC CV Buck Converter Module DC 6-40V to 1.2-36V 20A 300W Adjustable Step Down Voltage Regulator Power Supply Module from Amazon.

I was checking one out when I noticed a slight problem with it which I fixed. I then went back to their Web page & looked at the pretty picture (shown below) & low & behold, that's how this one came. The other one was OK.

No prizes for spotting the problem.

Also, the switching transistors are NOT electriaclly isolated from their heatsinks which previous ones I've purchased have been. Neither is there any heat sinking compound used here. You get what you pay for I suppose. Forced cooling is also required to get anywhere near the output power claimed.

Did they just leave the screw out that is supposed to bolt the transistor to the heatsink. Or is it so cheap that they never planned to fit one?

It was screwed in fairly tightly against the "flange"part. There is a very slight curve in the transistor (FET) tab. I will have to se if I can get some heatsink compound in there somehow
