If you have an account with Mouser (Germany), you can download the Hammond RM20215S enclosure as an STP file and print it (https://www.mouser.de/ProductDetail/Hammond-Manufacturing/RM2015S?qs=6W4OQKoqJ0vbaS7wWejjkQ%3D%3D). It's a great support from Mouser. However, you should extend the bevel on the bottom downwards so that fewer supports are required during printing. I believe this is the enclosure Peter used.

Orders for “PC3s” and “hdmi2VGA” are now closed; this fits in perfectly with the tiered pricing structure of the supplier jlcpcb!

ManiB said  Have you ever thought about ordering the PCBs in black instead of green? They cost a few cents extra, but they look so much more high-quality—and black is beautiful. The PCB panels should be black too, of course—what else? ;)

@ManiB: The black panels are fine by me – that’s my default setting anyway. What thickness did you use in the picture? 1.6 or 2 mm?
As for the colour of the circuit board, I prefer green – it makes the tracks much easier to follow, and you still have the option of repairing something if the worst comes to the worst. The board is covered by the casing anyway ;-)

For the printable version of the enclosure (and presumably for the purchased version as well), the front panel thickness is 1.6 mm.

Quote  I’ve already started creating a version to print myself, but I won’t be able to enter the exact dimensions for supports etc. until I’ve got the board.
I’ve made the lettering 3mm raised, so you can pause the print and change the filament, or simply paint over the surfaces with a permanent marker later on.

Cheers

From my own experiments I think the actual ideal thickness is 1.5mm! For a while now I've been getting panels made as PCBs using 1.6mm material but removing the copper in a strip round the edges of both sides. This brings the thickness down nicely and you don't get a query about why there isn't any copper. It also means that you have the choice of screening the panels by soldering a wire to the inner copper.

The PCB thickness of the front and back panels is 1.6 mm (no thicker, otherwise it won't fit into the case's guide slots).

I'm also fine with the green color for the motherboard.

Hallo,

Matthias

Hello,
I’m back home. I’ve just checked online to prepare the order and work out a price.
Unfortunately, the U33 is out of stock again, and the U38 (circuit breaker) is also missing. I’ll wait until Monday. Otherwise, I’ll use the advance component order option and then have it manufactured. I haven’t done it this way before, but you learn as you go. I’ll also be ordering the U36 (Raspberry Pi radio module RMC20452T) at the same time. All in all, that only costs €1.25 more than ordering it separately (in Germany) and soldering it yourself!

I’ve also seen that Peter has fixed a bug on the PC3 board. (https://www.thebackshed.com/forum/ViewTopic.php?TID=18919&P=6#257766)
I’ll use the new file then. Sometimes it’s worth the wait.

@BishopXXL: It’s actually too late, but you can ask ManiB. I might still have one to spare. I don’t want to go over 25!

I’ll send you a private message in the next few hours with my bank details or PayPal information.

Matthias

Hi Peter, I don’t quite understand your comment. What do you mean by ‘missing USB switch’? Do you mean the physical switch circled in green in the picture? That doesn’t seem to be an issue with the delivery and assembly.
Or have I misunderstood you?

@all_the_German/AT_guys: I’ve received the first payments – thank you very much!

The red circled part under the rmc2 is now out of stock. The same thing is available in a sot footprint with dual sourcing so I've replaced the qfn version. I'll post the gerbers later today

I see.
Is that really necessary? Every additional version just causes confusion, doesn’t it?
If I’ve understood correctly, I can order the components in advance. See screenshot. Yes, the minimum order is more than 25, but it’s not worth the effort for the price, is it?
