they could easily be placed in the MMBasic library would be good.

A wiki article for each "thing", with proper versioning - the most recent would always be presented first but a full history if you want previous versions.

If this is the wrong place to post this please let me know. I'm getting 10 v1.3 boards made. I plan on keeping the obligatory 3 boards for myself leaving seven available in the US if there are any other interested North American users around.

Offering boards to other people is unlikely to get you in trouble!

Generously done.

I've read through this thread and the 18 pages of Armmite - STM32H7: Developments
I'm bleary-eyed (and impressed with all the work done), but I'm still uncertain of the LCDPANEL command for the ILI9341:

OPTION LCDPANEL ILI9341, orientation, D/C pin, reset pin [,CS pin]

What are the D/C, reset, and CS pins for the backpack for the ILI9341?

Is touch like this?

OPTION TOUCH 56,123

I tried to get all this sort of info on the silkscreen of the backpack. For the ILI9341 its on the silkscreen just alongside the ILI9341 header. You can just about see it in the picture on page 3 of this thread.

OPTION LCDPANEL ILI9341, orientation, 3, 2, 1

Yes, for the ILI9341, but for a ILI9481 on the HAT header it is 112,56. Again all this is on the silkscreen so I don't have to keep referring to the schematic

Ok, thanks. There it is, right before my eyes. Excellent idea.

I downloaded the latest: 2019-02-19_195727_Armmite1.3.zip

and pasted it into NODE_H743ZI folder; in Teraterm got 5.05.03

I did "option list" and just got the ">" prompt. Then did OPTION LCDPANEL ILI9341, L, 3, 2, 1.

Now "option list" gives: OPTION LCDPANEL ILI9481, LANDSCAPE, 3, 2, 1
(and I get nothing if I configure touch and try "gui configure").

What is happening that it is getting switched to ILI9481 (which, as far as I know, uses the 2-row header rather than the one-row one)?

We seem to have two different things going on here. The first is that I had a typo in the text strings which incorrectly reported ILI9341 as ILI9481. This is corrected in the attached.

2019-02-21_182944_Armmite1.3.zip

The second is that you can't get the display and/or touch working. I've just tested a display on my Nucleo/backpack and it all works perfectly. I'm confused by

gui configure

in your post. Do you mean GUI CALIBRATE? Is the display itself working and just touch failing or is it both? I'm pretty confident in the firmware as this is old code shared by all the Micromite family so as always check all the solder joints etc. I had a problem with my backpack and found I'd missed soldering one of the pins completely - easy to do when there are so many!

Thank you. If you were confused, it was because I was confused. Yes, I did mean "GUI CALIBRATE" (and did use that to test).

With the new version, it does confirm ILI9431, but still nothing on the display (which worked before and after on a bigmik 170 backpack).

But here's a question: do I have to supply power to the 144 backpack? I haven't done that, thinking to power it off of the Nucleo board.

Yes, that is the problem. The concept of the backpack is that it supplies power to the Nucleo, it has a much bigger regulator. The power header on the Nucleo should be set to E5V.

Ok, done and working now. That was a tough couple of solder points for me to make--I had been hoping to avoid it.

Thanks very much for your patience with one coming late to the h7-144 backpack party.
