Hi Guys Can someone point me to a page that tells me how I upgrade my micromite to the latest revision. I have a USB to serial converter from grogster, the drivers installed on my computer and the Hex file. The USB interface seems to be working. What next? Don't want to hassle grogster again as he has put in too much time already. Thanks Chrisk |

Which micromite do you have? Geoff's site would be a good place to start. Bill Keep safe. Live long and prosper. |

I have a micromite plus (64 pin) I have tried that but didn't see anything that was remotely what I wanted. Most sites I visited assumed the micromite was operational. Chris |

I use the PicProg GUI from Grogsters web site Here I think it will work with the USB to serial converter I have the 1455 USB inerface on my boards. edit... click on the last download 'PIC32PROG-and-GUI.zip' Edited 2021-06-13 14:41 by palcal "It is better to be ignorant and ask a stupid question than to be plain Stupid and not ask at all" |

Chris, Do you have the version with the 1455 (microbridge) on it? You mention a USB to serial converter so I'm guessing you don't. You will need a microbridge or a PICkit 3 to program it if not. Bill Keep safe. Live long and prosper. |

Hi Guys Thanks for that. You wouldn't believe how many times I looked at Grogster's site, downloaded the files as you suggested and they were just in my downloads folder. Yes I have Grogsters 1455 microbridge. As there was no readme file with the mentioned files I wasn't sure what to do with them. I will run and see what happens. Thanks Turbo46 and Palcal Chrisk |

Run the PICPROG GUI top left corner should have the USB port then click on SELECT FILE, find the hex file, then click on Flash PIC32 and it's done. Edit... of course you need the 1455, I don't know what I was thinking. Unless you need the pins on the MM+-64, you might want to look at the PicoMite. It's still in alpha, and not quite there yet (still lacking an LCD, but for how long?), but it's dead easy to flash (drag and drop a file). PCBs will be coming. Refer to the MicroMite Plus manual page 6 for the firmware programming pins and page 9 for the procedure, most of which is the same as in the MM2 manual. Both manuals are included in Geoff's firmware download. |
