G'Day

Some time ago somebody posted details about a 5 in touch screen with a matching PCB containing a pico and other circuits which I thought looked useful. Did I dream this or did it really happen?
If it did happen, can I have more information please?

G'Day again.

Thanks for trying to help.
Gragster made a board for us some time ago that fits a 7 in touch screen and uses his E64 board as the brains plus my line drivers / receivers plus a few connectors for GPS etc. Sadly, the E64 chip no longer exists so I thought perhaps something like that using the pico and resized for a 5 in screen could be useful.
It looks like al18 has similar ideas.

The main problem with using a parallel interface LCD with a Pico is that it uses a lot of GPIO pins. I designed a little adapter some time ago. It includes a MAX3488E to give a full duplex RS-422 interface, a I2C port (which can be used for a little RTC) and 4x GPIO pins on a header. Info is in the link in my sig. "SSD1963 Mini Adapter".

This is designed to fit the 5" display and can be fixed to it using mounting pillars. It should also work with other pin-compatible displays but the fixing points may not line up. :)
