Hi Poida, I have been regularly following this forum with great interest for a long time now and finally decided it is time to start experimenting with some solar projects so I hope it is not too late to request adding a few more boards to your order: 5 Picos 3 Brainboards 3 MPPTs 2 Inverters The incredible contributions of so many dedicated and generous members of this forum over the years is much appreciated. Cheers, Michael Cheers Michael |

Hi Cobbler I was wondering if I should wait a little longer and then this happens. I better wait some more, just in case someone else is getting the urge to dabble. wronger than a phone book full of wrong phone numbers |

Hmm... well, i was thinking i would like a couple of sets of boards to do a couple of your mppt controllers - if you would post to the UK? I'm guessing it would be similar to posting to Norway but is still worth it for me. If you're happy to go to the trouble that would be 2 Brainboard 2 mppt Thx Marcus |

Poida, I know you are probably all over this but having sent some PCBs overseas recently I used international mailing letters and depending on what it was used my own or their envelopes - havent checked PCB dimensions you require but if they fit in the letters it is the cheapest way I found. Details here Then click on "letters" under "calculate postage" and then "economy air" and in last column "features and options" for envelope sizes and costs. Might save you a few minutes of searching. I did not complete any customs forms and included a note saying "here are your PCB samples" If at first you dont succeed, I suggest you avoid sky diving.... Cheers Mike |

Just wanted to mention this, bit of a tangent but maybe relevant to the orders. Poida - feel free to boot this if I'm derailing your order. If anyone wants to try out my "piggyback brainboard" / Nanocontroller for the MPPT boards, I'd be happy to share it. It's been working great for me, the I2C LCD has not had any issues. This board will save a 2nd Nano + LCD and some wires. The only "current" issue is that V1 which I actually made & am running, does not have a fan control output. I've added it to the V2 design, there are now 2x 12V fan control outputs which could be used directly with PC fans, for example. However, I have not (yet) physically made this board so it is currently untested RenewableMark asked me about them, so I figure I'd offer it to a wider audience here. Let me know if anyone is interested in V1 or V2 files or has any questions! Cheers, R |

Hi FF I would like to offer your designs for the mppt as well as Wiseguy's design. I will make one, at least, to be able to offer some support for those who build them. I think you could do it too. Let's start with V2, even though there is no need to have cooling fans when running my code that throttles back output power as the heatsink temp rises above a setpoint. maybe send me the files to my email? wronger than a phone book full of wrong phone numbers |
