I knew it would be dearer than my usual boards, simply because it's bigger than 100mm square. The shipping isn't subsidised on bigger boards either. I don't know about the engineering fee - I think I've seen that before. I don't think there's anything particularly special about this one. If the WeAct behaves then I think the rest will be ok. I hope the additional components round the KEY pin don't upset its use as MOSI for the SDcard. If it doesn't work we may have to swap the MOSI and CS connections to the WeAct and run the SDcard in bitbang mode = assuming it will. The WeAct RP2350 has 16 megabytes for drive A, so an SD card often isn't really needed (though I'm glad Peter's HDMI board had one when I removed the MODFILE option, which wiped drive A (it gives a warning)).
