Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Just had a frustrating 30 minutes, not to mention £100+ trying to get an Elgato Camlink working with the CMM2.  The only resolution it was vaguely able to capture was Mode 10 and that looked just awful!

Anyone with UK recommendations for something that does the job would be appreciated.  I've seen a few pictures of devices other people are using, but none with enough detail to tell if the lookalikes on Amazon / eBay are the same.

This thread refers to the VGA-->USB2 device I have tested.  Works fine for me.

Get it from AliExpress currently £23.51 including shipping to the UK.

It also came with the elusive USB-A to USB-A cable for firmware updates

mine took around 4 weeks to arrive on the slow boat from China.  Ordered 14th Aug, arrived around 18th Sept.

@ Womble: Can it capture all the CMM2 video output resolutions, or does it not like the taste of some of them?
Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops!

Yes, captures/displays all 12 video modes.

This YouTube Video was captured as an initial test using the VGA-->USB2 device.  I used VLC to actually record the video, which was probably not the best choice, and the stepping through the ColourBars program was done blind, as I had not figured out how to "monitor" the software.

I will try to post some better videos at some point in the future.

This YouTube #2 was captured using Windows Camera.  The device took a moment to switch between video modes, and Mode 10 in this instance was a little messed up, probably from the rapid switching of mode.  In normal use, all modes are captured nicely.  Windows Camera seems to do a better job than VLC capturing the video (less lag).  I still have not got around to testing with OBS, because Camera meets my requirements for running the CMM2 headless, with TerraTerm.
