Martin H. said  I thought that I could ask questions, relating to PicoMiteVGA V5.07.05 betas.

I wasn't questioning where you posted, but your source for the status of BLIT, which I missed.

after the BLIT Command is no longer in future MM-Basic versions,

Er, what now?

What makes you think it will not be there?

I think Martin H maybe referring to this:

www.thebackshed.com/forum/ViewTopic.php?FID=16&TID=14884

In particular, about SPRITE replacing BLIT.

The answer to his question is also in that thread.

Jason.

Oh!

Thanks, Jason.

(I didn't take away anything from that thread as extreme as Martin H posted.)

B13 and b14 for the VGA both have issues (change in SDK and compiler?) when running at 126MHz in mode 1 - 126MHz in mode 2 and 252MHz and 378MHz in both modes both work fine for me. Will post an update later. non-VGA seems to be OK and seems to run faster than before

UPDATE b14 for VGA replaced in the download to fix issue with mode 1 @ 126MHz

Hmmm... and I interpreted it to be Sprite replaced Blit because they were essentially the same.

Hi, Matherp.
Best wishes to You and forum members :)
Thank you all for a good time we have.

It`s not about PicomiteVGA beta, but about 5.07.04 from Geof`s official.

I was writing small program and saved it and powered off/on PicomiteVGA and everything went as expected. And while tinkering around I noticed once empty edit screen :) As it was no any program.
OK. I loaded some pre-save from flash slot n and continued on. And then it happened again.
OK. I started looking more carefully whats the heck is going on and this is what I found.

I was powering PicomiteVGA via monitors (NEC P242W) USB.
Monitor was set to sleep after 10 mins, so all goes OK until it is going to sleep and if it is in sleep mode, still everything goes well.

If I wake up monitor from sleep state, PicomiteVGA works some few seconds, then error rises "Error: Invalid adress - resetting". PicomiteVGA resets and boom! Nothing to edit. Still flash slots stores all pre-saved program versions.

I just switched to normal power supply, and no problem so far.
Still it seems to me this case might be interesting for you :)

Few pictures how it goes, and I have no idea, how it might erase main, coz if I would   kill off power from regular power supply - no problems :).

Editing program

Running it, my work monitor, powering PicomiteVGA is in sleep mode

Waked up, and thing is reseting

After reboot

@electricat

Please download the latest beta version from that same website and report back if the problem is still there.  The beta version fixes many bugs as well as adding new features.

You could also try a USB charging cable that only has the power wires and no data wires.
It might be that when the monitor wakes up it interrogates the USB port with commands that confuse the Pico.

Well , OK.
Comes out I had problems with drivers (WIN7).
Used zadig, and installed USB serial (CDC) and no more problems I described earlier.

... now fixed in the (updated) beta 14.

  Quote  Hello,

I have a problem.

The most recent firmwares do not seem to display an image on my monitor:

(The last one I tried)

The firmware below works well when flashed (in both mode 1 and mode 2):

That's because it is a PicoMite patch and not for the PicoMiteVGA. Use the VGA beta from Geoff's site

Works on every Pico I've tried including a pico_w. Check your power supply?
Of course it is way out of the chip's spec so no guarantees

Running PicoMite v5.070514 with the Waveshare 3.5" LCD.

I see that lines that extend off screen at an angle leave improper pixels on the edge of the screen, as if the off-screen coordinate were being clamped to the edge of the screen.

For example, try this from the prompt:
> cls
> line 50,50,200,-50

Visit Vegipete's *Mite Library for cool programs.
